Best...Carmen...Ever

Trying to do VOW work, but progress tonight has been impeded by the fact that I mistakenly decided this evening to check my DVR'd performance of the Met's Carmen relay. All I can say is...OMG. This is simply incredible. Whenever this comes out on DVD, grab it ASAP. This is the most disturbing and seductive production of Carmen I've ever seen. Productions like this show exactly why the entire world went crazy in the late 1870's over this opera by a no-name Frenchman who was already dead. And if you haven't heard the name Elina Garanca yet, you will very soon.
